Snow Fall

As the snow falls I watch and listen
I try and listen to each flake land in the distance
So much power they each have when they accumulate in numbers
As the snow falls I watch and listen
I enjoy the beauty for what it is and not think of the traffic and inconvenience in the morning
Just like life when piled high we can shovel and maneuver our way to our conclusions
As the snow falls I watch and listen
So much chaos when the wind picks up without warning
I can't see the outlines of the yard that has become buried only to see a canvas now untouched
As the snow falls I watch and listen
Snow has its purpose and its season and it presents a new outlook on life
Regardless of a dusting or a blizzard the snow doesn't last and it certainly doesn't stay
As the snow falls I watch and listen
Can you hear the snowflakes land in the distance?
